Auberge très bien placée car très proche des transports en commun. Cependant, la qualité et la propreté des lieux est vraiment catastrophique. Très peu de toilettes et de douches. Une des toilettes était bouchée, dans une autre il y avait un cafard, dans une autre la saleté était encore pire, je passe les détails, et la dernière ne fermait pas... Quant aux douches, fuites, peu de lumière, et saleté au rendez-vous également. Je n'ai pas eu l'occasion de tester le petit déjeuner ou d'aller voir les cuisines, mais c'est mieux comme ça je pense. Les draps fournis étaient troués, et parfois même avec des taches. La carte électronique pour accéder à la chambre fonctionnait mal, bon moyen de rester enfermée dehors; et de plus elle était payante, ce qui, je crois, n'était pas indiqué sur le site... Rien pour ranger les bagages, alors qu'il était censé y avoir une bagagerie, je n'aurai donc pas été surprise si des vols auraient eu lieu. Et on est obligé de payer en argent liquide quand on arrive, carte bleu non acceptée!
Bref, même si c'est bien placé et peu cher, la propreté est inexistante: pendant les deux nuits où j'y suis restée, les sanitaires n'ont absolument pas été nettoyés alors que ça laissait vraiment à désirer... !
Je vous le déconseille donc. ;)
Les chambres sont rustiques mais propres, rien à dire. En revanche, la propreté des douches et des toilettes laisse à désirer. Egalement, le lavabo dans la chambre ne sort que de l'eau chaude, voire brûlante. L'accès aux chambres se fait par carte ce qui est sécurisant, mais le site http://www.aubergesdejeunesse.com ne précise pas qu'elle coûte 10 livres à payer à l'arrivée à l'auberge.
L'avantage de cette auberge est son libre accès 24h/24. On peut donc rentrer à l'heure que l'on souhaite. Elle est aussi très bien placée, à deux pas de la station de métro.
Salut les voyageurs !! autant vous dire que cet hôtel est vraiment insalubre !! dans tous mes voyages je n'ai jamais vu d'auberge aussi sale, du coup chère pour ce que c'est, avec le minimum de service (seul le petit déjeuner est réellement compris, et est vraiment bas de gamme). 2 WX pour filles et 2 WC pour garçons par étage, en sachant qu'on doit être une soixantaine par étage ! ces derniers ne sont nettoyés que très rarement. et aussi 2 douches pour filles et 2 autres pour mecs.
Dans la chambre dortoir de 24 lits, les anciens draps étaient encore disposés de telle façon que tu ne sais même pas quel lit est dispo ou pas ! avec fenêtre condamnée, donc je te raconte pas les odeurs ! des lits superposés sur 3 étages ! on se serait cru en prison ! mais vraiment !
este hostal es bien feo, sucio, horible con el minimo de servicio (el internet se paga, no tienes nada para poner tu mochila, tienes que pagar 2,50 euros por dia) y el desayuno es lo minimo de lo que puedes encontrar ...
esa pousada é o peor da tudos do minhas viagem !!!!!! é bem sucio, tem so o desajuno da manha que é libre s, o resto voce tem que pagar tudo ! a toalha, o internet, o armario ... bahnheiros, cozinha, tudo é bem horivel ... sorte rapaz ...

Déçue du séjour, pas de vestiaire pour les bagages, bcp de vols dans cette auberge. Durant mon séjour de 5j : 1 Ipod de volé, des sacs à mains et des vêtements... Beaucoup de bruits la nuit, pas toujours facile de dormir ...
Pas assez de douche (qui se ferment juste avc un rideau dc pas de clé) pour toute l'auberge : obligé d'attendre au moins 20 min sur les marches pour avoir de l'eau froide.
Malgré tout, auberge pas cher assez propre dans l'ensemble et bien placé avec plusieurs métros et arrêt de bus.
Nice place to stay! The location is good with convenient transportation.
L'auberge est idéalement placée : proche du métro, de Hyde Park et Nothing Hill.
Cependant, la fréquentation et l'état des lieux est à déplorer: la cuisine est extrêmement sale, les toilettes collectives sont bouchées en permanence, les douches sont inondées et il y a même eu des vols constatés dans les chambres alors qu'elles étaient fermées et inoccupées pendant la journée.
Par chance, les chambres collectives sont un bon moyen de rencontrer des adolescents du monde entier, à condition de ne pas tomber sur les (très) mauvaises fréquentations présentes dans l'auberge.

Hostel very dirty. The showers are very dirty and they do not have all of the light... Very few places in the common room. Suitable if you are staying just for sleeping.
If there was a minus star I would be highlighting the lowest of the low.
I've been travelling all over the world and can safely say that this is the worst hostel I've ever stayed in even compared to some of the hövels I've had the misfortune to stay in in South East Asia.
On the website it said that this hostel has been recently refurbished, to who's standard, a blind person's? If a rat or some wiley legged creature started to appear in the kitchens I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised, which would only add the bacterial disease ridden vibe I got from staying in this squalid, disgusting excuse for a a hostel!
What more can I say, oh yes and the reception staff were the most rudest, non-human people ever and doing one simple thing was like asking to get blood from a stone.
This hostel should be either condemned and pulled down, or gutted and back to the drawing board.

Clean and well located hostel. No hot water, improperly listed rooms. Staff helpful but not always friendly.
Fun anecdote: I found myself at 1 a.m., feet bare, in pajamas and without glasses, stuck in the corridors due to an issue with my magnetic card. Pretty strange, but quickly adjusted.
Hostel clean and nicely situated. No. hot water during my staying, and the rooms are hard to find. Staff ready to help but not always nice.
Funny story: was trapped outside of my room in my pijamas and without glasses and shoes because of my key card. Strange goal quickly fixed.

The check in was done in five minutes, I was told my room number many times just to make sure I remember (hey fellas, consider to put some arrows on the walls to show the direction!), I was given my key and some bedlinen. The room was OK, the bed was comfortable, I had no problem with the matrass at all. Though a bit worn and used, it was just what I needed. (Some paint would help to improve the windows ;) ). It was summer high, so open windows were expected even night time. The shower room was acceptable, the toilets looked clean every time (its the "guest" that leaves the room as it is, not the cleaning staff). The surroundings are amazing, two tubes in 5 minutes (beware, avoid Bayswater at night, use Queensway instead, its just round the corner and much easier to catch a train there!)McD, BK, Salisbury, Tesco, restaurants, whatever you wish for there it goes. Hyde Park just across the street. Not for lillies, that is for sure, but with the fine roommates, just what I had, it was fine for a week. Just a few things: not everyone is prepared for the funky English connectors, so it would be better to loan some for a deposit instead of selling by the counter, who the heck is needing one at home? Internet should be more solid, it was breaking many times, not suitable in 2012.I know that sometimes its tedious, but the staff should smile a bit more ;). All in all, if you should need a bed and some water, I would recommend it during the Summer.

I was really disappointed by this hotel : really dirty, noisy and not so safe for your belongings. The price isn't up to the service.

Hostel bien situé, assez proche d'un métro. c'est le seul point positif.
En ce qui concerne la propreté, ZERO. Aucune vaisselle de faite, elle traine dans l'évier avec des résidus de jus et de nourritures. Nous avons même trouvés un pigeon qui se promenait dans la salle à manger.
Les chambres, c'est la même histoire. J'ai pu voir la femme de ménage. Elle change la poubelle en balançant son contenu au centre la pièce et en retournant le sac poubelle déjà utilisé, elle passe la serpière toute noires sur les chaussures.
La salle de bain, un vieux pommeau de douche bricolé, des lavabo sans robinet ... Et pas assez de toilettes et de salle de bain pour tout le monde.

I came with a friend and we spent 4 nights in the dormitory 10 beds women. It was not expected to the luxury and we were not disappointed. Should not be required, that's all. When we have arrived, we are fallen on a sympathetic staff guy, it rigolait with and when we are parties, the Lady in his place was not really kind but good is like that.
If not to sleep, these are beds on floors that are rather close with each other, it sleeps quite well. After, all depends on with which you share the House, my friend had taken balls quiès for noise. There were 4 catch it seems to me.
For sanitation, it is another story ^ ^ already must be found free showers in the hostel. You can to lose! ^ ^ Then times it felt a little sewage but there is hot water! Toilets, there are everywhere and there is a washbasin in each about.
The big highlight of the hostel is its location, there are 2 stop of metro, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, a small shopping centre also and especially the Hyde Park! :)
Good location, access 24/24 h, room ok. Problem with the showers: no bench to ask business, only two hooks with a broken, three showers protected by curtains only. Almost unusable kitchen, toaster and microwave to promote! Pleasant stay still.
Excellent value for money, for €7 at night in a room of 10 girls in the third. Good beds, good ventilation, showers and impeccable toilets (even if I was a bit scared before arriving in the light of other comments left, good surprise eventually). No problem between us nor with the goshawk yet rooms stay in full during the Olympic Games. No concern of insecurity, no flight at least in the House.
Hostel open 24/24, always someone at the counter of entry, 2 metro stops to 3 min on foot, busstop at 2 min. Super well placed next to Hyde Park, the neighborhood is not afraid.
Negative points: a room for 2 key and if we want to leave his bags at the hostel on the last day, it is £2 per bag.

I have spend 3 nights in a room with 18 beds, I withdraw from this experience that the place was dirty (room, shower and especially toilets), there was only an outlet in the corridor so below want you to fly your case, not to recharge electrical devices, the mattresses are very bad, and the staff really not allowing (a small smile always free rest).
The only positive point is that it is very well placed.
I would advise not difficult student, group and who do not have many ways that do not wish to stay more than two days.

strengths: close to the metro, close to Hyde Park, close to the shops, cheaper than the other inns, opportunity to meet students of all nationalities, access to a large kitchen, Internet from £1.75 weaknesses: application for bail, equipment in poor condition, health in poor condition and questionable hygiene, not enough (often cold) showers and WC (always plugged). Bunk beds of 3 floors in some rooms, without scales, without barriers (and pitching as a boat). No card for everyone (we are come to 4, no we only 2 cards to gain access to the House). The hostel provides sheets and pillows (deposit £ 5 per person) but not blankets. No breakfast included. Kitchen: much material available but no one does the dishes and the cleanliness of this place is non-existent!
Low price is an advantage, comfort and cleanliness are subjective. Hostel recommended for small budgets who do not spend their lives in their house and who are used to the campgrounds.

I found this hostel for student very nice. The big room (for 24 people) is very quiet and there is a lot of space. The staff is very nice. I expected worse for the price so with my two other friends we were surprised in a good way. The beds are comfortables, the showers are small but clean and i was happy to let my stuff in the room without any danger of steal. The fact that there is no breakfast included in the price and that the kitchen closed after midnight are the only things annoying. But we are very satisfied by this hostel for student, i think we'll come back there next time. And effectively if you choose to go in a cheap place in London, don't be too demanding! Anyway, even if you don't like the place where you're sleep it's just for the night and London is so marvelous!

It's not bad, the beds are nice and the staff is quite nice. The worst thing are the showers, there are very few and they are pretty bad... besides, there are very few plugs on the rooms (at least in mone). Anyway, if you are planning to use it only for sleeping and showering, it's nice.

Then, I must say that this hostel is rather peculiar...I give a half star for the neighborhood really lively and fun, well centered. The room was relatively calm at the time were fairly well slept in this respect.

I spent a pleasant stay in this beautiful city, but I found a little youth hostel sale (mould on the walls of the dormitory, showers broken and not very clean), little wash basins with mirrors...
However this hostel is very well placed, close to bus and metro stops, and the rates are very affordable to be located close to the centre of London.
Weekend of March 10, 2012, 2 nights are sufficient for this youth hostel, we were in a room of 4 beds, shower and wc not terrible, personal way, but well located hostel, and for 2 nights, and for the price, it passes. To visit London express, with a friend, it is sufficient...But I never go with my wife làs - bas, too môche and uncomfortable...
I was appalled at the state of the Kitchen when I went down to make breakfast. I would have liked to have warmed my 2 croissants purpose out of the 6 electric cookers only 2 had any in shelves. The only oven proof dish was in the sink with a stack of other dirty dishes. Every item that I used had to be washed before I could use it. The was no washing up liquid or drying up cloths. The Kitchen should be closed and be like the rest of the building.
I shall not stay there again. The YHA should be ashamed to put its name to such a shabby building.
I agree with all the previous comments. Scandalous hostel. Home and relational deplorable. State of the unsafe premises. I advise to avoid at any cost this hostel which made me fear the nights or I had to stay there.
A hostel dirty, or even poor, extremely poorly soundproofed. The only advantage is its outstanding geographical position.
The comfort, the quality of the home are clearly poor. At least it was cheap...
This super well located on the street parallel there is a metro station and an endless number of places to eat. The hostel itself is a bit shabby but only had two showers for all the girls. Though as it is very cheap, reward.
I told myself I would be happy with my hostel stay if I had two things: a clean bed and a hot shower. I had only a clean bed. The water pressure in the showers were terrible, and the water was hot for only a minute. The handle for the water came off in my hand. When I told the employees, they did not seem too concerned and said I could shower on the first floor. My room was on the fourth floor. I think you get what you pay for here, and I only paid about 13 euro a night.

A very bad experience in this hostel I would strongly advise against...
Arriving the evening we had a mixed dormitory of eight beds: the room smelled very bad, he was very hot and the beds were dirty and without separation curtain (Fortunately we was sheets were clean air).
The biggest problem has been one of the other boys in the House (we were two girls) who was very dirty and did not stop swearing, spitting and insults us. It was really not reassuring. I know it's a little game of the hostels to be with other people and that here we are clearly not fallen, but this was really not reassuring and fortunately that other people arrived during the night....
I do not retenterai this hostel and advise you to choose another if you can!
Good location near of the centre of London but the hostel ought really a renovation. The rooms are summary and are talking about showers and toilets (there is horror...)
Breakfast for the price that I paid (the new year period) can be understood as in most of London Hostels!
Unlike many comments disadvantageous below, I found the hostel very honest for the price paid (room of 4 beds). Simply read the terms and conditions before booking to have no concern (pay the rest on arrival, so anticipate the liquid necessary, although looking at the room type: mixed or not, including breakfast, etc).

Vile hostel! The only positive point: his situation. All the rest was only disappointment. A smell and a ubiquitous dirt, whether in the rooms or in the common parts. also war so so, das zimmer ist einbisschen öde weil es nur betten u ein washbasin gab. Dann waren die toiletten und duschen sehr unsauber. dafür war die bedinung an der Suite sehr nett und gut gab es dort interetnutzungen or ort. Preis ist auch gut.

De todas formas es el peor hostel in el estado, pero solo he estuve a día y porque no. canchaparán otra cosa free.
Así que en conclusión: la habitación estaba mal al menos estaba limpia, los baños No. No. me gustaron nada (las horrible duchas) y había muy pocos, la cocina no tiene apenas utensilios para cocina y ademas te cobran por todo, if quieres dejar maleta en el cuarto case también te cobran.
Volvería if tuviera muchas ganas of ir has London pero no. estaría an allí día más
the hostel is so close to town and the tube its perfect!
Rates very attractive (€10 night, perfect for small budgets), but when you arrive on-site understand why: the room was dirty, almost unusable showers, with a single hook for its business (think take of flip-flops). Step common room, apart from the dining room, which is finally almost always empty because the cleanliness of the kitchen (most of the "residents" eat outside). Still a good point: rather, the hostel is well located. Hyde Park is located 5 min walk, several restaurants and food stores and two metro stations in the main street. Picadilly Circus and Oxford Street are not far by subway or bus. If there is really a limited budget or that it is not very looking level hygiene that's enough, but can also be a clean and well located hostel for a few euros more per night.

Night home kind limit.
The quality of the rooms and bathrooms, we found them in a State of disrepair and insalubrity: mold, peeling, trsè paint unstuck carpets.... In the non-existent window stairs and carpets snatches!
Arrived in the night we were very disappointed with the quality of the hébergement§ we have practiced several hostels abroad but we had never seen it before!
The +: + the situation: hostel well located near bayswater and queensway underground stations. Bus lines pass nearby in the direction of the city centre. Only stayed at the Hostel for one night and that was probably enough, the beds were not numbered so finding where we were sleeping caused some problems with other guests. Even thought it was nice to get to know other people in the hostel.
The sheets were not very clean and the toilets were very dirty. But it was a very cheap deal so was ok for one night.

É mesmo só para chegar tarde, sleep e arrancar cedo No. dia seguinte, os counterpanes não são séculos lavados!

its kinda hard to reivew this purpose here i go rental is pretty decent purpose then in london everything near a tube station (subway) is a big more for me was the fact they actually had computers with internet available for people who didnt bring a laptop purpose people did get charged for using the wifi bathrooms were average and without enough privacy to my liking (all you have is a shower curtain since the bathrooms are shared) what i found to be annoying though was the lack of room to put my luggage and the fact the sink didnt work and was leaking witch resulted in a tiny stream of water running acros the room from time to time witch got my backpack rather nice and wet after the first night-.-.

The standard of accommodation - rooms, stairs falling apart and missing carpets, were the lowest I have ever experienced.
I am assuming that the price is lower than other accommodation in London, so beggers can't be elsewise, but it was quite a shock.

Despite some of the other reviews i decided to stay here with 5 friends and it was fine. We got clean linen on arrival and the facilities were ok. the location was great for hyde park and very close to a tube stop. the rooms had 3 bunk beds wgich were fine and the room was clean.

The room was dirty, a window was broken and was replaced by cardboard. an electric outlet broken with wires protruding, painting out age, soil that and therefore also beds, black (common) showers of dirt... all this for 100 Euro per room and night... In short, a housing as found unfortunately many in London.

Not the nicest place you will ever set foot in, but if all you're looking for is a bed then it should suffice.
One gets the impression that not much money is ever put back into this property (think broken windows, no. carpets and walls that have long been in need of a lick of paint) but it does have reasonable facilities.

If you get cold easily bring a sleeping bag or extra blanket cause all you get is a very thin blanket to cover yourself and all 4 people in our room were freezing at night as also the window even when closed displayed a huge gap and lots of cold air entered.
The rooms are clean, which is good although there is absolutely nothing to put your stuff. Not one shelf or small table or something like that.
Overall I can see it was alright but I have been in much nice hostels that were equally cheap or even cheaper.

This hostel is very practical for teens, rooms are good, there is no problem of noise, people are very kind.
the only downside is the (unique) bathroom that only there is one for every 16 people like nothing clean shower and are not at least, but well, for a few days we are scrupulous.
If you want to travel and cheap this is the solution.

Horrible. El edificio obsoleto, enorme, sin mantenimiento, sucio, banyos: unisex, no hacen distincion, humedades, hilo de agua, algunas frias y lo peor una sensacion de inseguridad, en cualquier momento puede pasar algo y nadie te ayudara. Un enorme edificio donde siempre hay gente en la puerta de entrada, llevada por personas que no te dan ninguna confianza, bruscos, te tratan despectivamente, no te dan ni los buenos dias. Desayuno limitado, sin Wi/Fi gratuito. Tienes que pagar en efectivo, yo llegue a las 9 de la noche, no avisaron de eso y tuve que buscar un cajero. Pesimo. Por 5 pounds mas al dia se puede encontrar sitios decentes. Este lugar es una casa okupa y encimas pagas.
