Super !

Pas loin, pas cher, confortable. Petit-déjeuner très bien. Vraiment aucun soucis.

Christelle, 16 April 2013

It was too cold in the room.

Breakfast ' was very good reads are good everything is good except that there is no heating in the rooms i included bathroom and the water is not very hot

Elodie, 5 November 2012 - Rating: 70%

Nice venue real central where you can reheat food in microwaves ovens and even cook yourself.

The 'en suite' bathrooms can cause some troubles though in the mixed rooms since girls and boys share the same room. Moreover, you'll have troubles sleeping if some early birds or night-owls take showers at unusual times...

There was a BIG ISSUE when I was there since most lockers could not be sealed (even with the locks on) and someone obviously managed to enter rooms and steal stuff.

Kevin, 18 April 2012 - Rating: 50%

The staff were always really friendly and gave us good advice on where to go out and to eat. It's close to many attractions including Temple Bar, shops and Trinity College. The free breakfast is a plus and it was handy having a luggage room and safe for valuables. Over all we had a great time in Dublin and we would highly recommend Ashfield House as a place to stay if you're on a budget.

elyse, 3 May 2013 - Rating: 70%

ROMAIN, 9 January 2013

Very large hostel (capacity large enough), rather commercial (the institution is more factory that family-run Inn). The kitchen is not always very clean and the friendliness of the staff variable... The dorms have their own bathrooms (in addition to very large shared bathrooms) and the common room is very nice with table tennis, pool table, large collection of film etc... The location is excellent: a few steps from Temple Bar between the Guiness factory and the Jameson Distillery, and all the museums are available relatively quickly a foot.

It is better to have heavy sleep because the rooms are on Dame Street, and are particularly ill isolated, more curtains serve has nothing and the Green pilot light a room is much too powerful.

Locker for a euro per day (chest fort & also luggage room), laundry for 8 euros (4 machine & 4 the dryer), check-out at 10 p.m., a minute more and they trot out you 5 euros automatically, breakfasts very well but only until 9: 30 (they pull it under the nose at 9: 29 and ration when ca their sings) balance mixed but overall our stay was good.

Christelle, 18 March 2013

Accueil correct;

Certaines chambres donnent sur la rue et sont mal isolées (bruit de voitures jusqu'à tard le soir et tôt le matin);

Douche chaude;

This hostel is a palace! Chamber who feels the musty, rotten, wall bed not made upon arrival, no elevator, personal non-experiemente and slow to react, (paid black?) doubtful cleaning woman, my stay is far from a good memory!

Good location - easy walking distance to the city and main attractions. Very large rooms. Not alot of secure storage in the rooms. Staff were a little 'distance' - not very welcoming. Shared kitchen facilities were very good. Some fantastic Chinese resturants just down the street.

Very nice hostel! Well placed near to O'Connell Street and not far from Temple Bar. Good home. Great service, very nice.

Only downside: the shower water puts a little time to warm up, to leave water 1-2 min to have hot water... But other than very well for students, tourists etc.

Nothing to say level cleanliness, apart from the kitchen that at peak hours becomes fast chaotic. Good organization and staff always friendly and welcoming.

Well placed hotel North Shore, all kind of trade nearby, close to Talbot Street and not far from O' Connell Street.

Effective for a laundry and dry 7euros (expensive but less than in other Hostels Dublin and laundry: 8 / 8.5euros) but the machines are not of great...

Very nice basement, walls in stone, free wifii, table tennis, billiards, reading ect area

Brice, 24 November 2012

Truly a super stay at Isaacs Hostel! A very nice home and a very dynamic hostel where we have superb meetings! A very friendly atmosphere where meet people from all over the world eager new adventures.

The breakfast is simple but very well (toast, jam, butter, coffee, tea, milk, juice etc...!). We were in a mixed dormitory 8 places, nothing wrong if that given that we were in the DRC we couldn't open the Windows, it was quickly warm, but it was quite bearable. The light of our bathroom worked when she wanted, however the shower of neighbors being some metres from our House, it was not really problem! In short, a more than positive review, we recommend this Inn to all!

Tiffany, 17 September 2012 - Rating: 90%

The Interior of the building is beautiful and pleasant, especially the reception and the basement (fresh and calm).

Unfortunately the showers and common toilet (3 showers, 2 toilets for men on my floor) is not very practical.

The surroundings of the hostel are also very noisy, especially at sporting events (the alcohol and its ravages)...

The narrow streets around are either not very engaging.

I nonetheless not too poorly slept, even if not long.

"24 Hour Check In" : false, we had to wait for 4 hours before our check in, even if we were asked on the website for our arrival time. (I wrote 9am, and I could only register at 2pm)

The water from the bathroom sink is not drinkable: get your own water !!!

I advice you to not use the kitchen which is very dangerous (very old gas stove) and dirty. (no washing up liquid)

The other services are decent though.

Superb hostel! I made the first day, too early to go in the House, the person of the reception, a francophone Canadian, we welcomed super! And when you arrive the first day, it's fun to have someone who speaks French to advise us!

However, there is no trap, just a luggage storage, but overall, ya no worry, travellers are cool, and it is fairly eclectical (family, young, old...).

Overall, a very good price/quality ratio are the location (next to the centre and the bus station "basaras") and hospitality!

yasmina, 23 August 2012

Welcome of the staff, the benefits are at the height: a very good traditional breakfast in a pleasant room (the same as that of the hotel). The decoration is warm and traps under the beds for storing its affairs are large enough to contain a medium suitcase. The House is sleeping is sufficient (space optimized). The household is done every day, room and bathroom. Advisor, so that the centre city is very close.

Only 2 positives aspects about this Hostel : its location, very close to Dublin's city centre and the staff, very nice and helpful. Apart from that, I would not recommend it to anyone : disrespectful people in dorms, stolen items in the room at the end of the first day (magazines and deodorant!!??), showers not working, noisy rooms, average breakfast and unclean toilets. To use only in case of an emergency or very restricted budget.

This place is at the start of the pub crawl of temple bar, so its a little bit noisy in night, but its fine, because you are not here for sleep!

There is a receptionnist 24/24, always saying hi, and welcoming you.

My room was really tight but clean, and the bathroom was ok. And there is no blinds at the windows, its hard when you want to sleep in the morning.
